Microsoft 365 Consulting, Migration & Support
Microsoft 365 can replace your email server, file server and a stack of separate tools, but only if it's set up correctly. As a Microsoft partner, SimplifiedPC plans, migrates, secures and manages Microsoft 365 for Orange County businesses so your team gets the benefits without the headaches.
More than just email in the cloud
Microsoft 365 includes business email (Exchange Online), file storage and sharing (OneDrive and SharePoint), chat and video meetings (Teams), the desktop Office apps, and security and device management tools. Used well, it lets your team work securely from the office, from home or on the road.
The difference between a smooth rollout and a frustrating one is planning. We choose the right licenses, migrate your data without losing email or files, configure security properly from day one, and help your staff adopt the new tools so the investment actually pays off.

A Microsoft 365 setup that's secure from day one
Compromised email accounts are one of the most common ways small businesses lose money and data. Many Microsoft 365 tenants are left on default settings that don't take advantage of the protections available. When we set up or take over a tenant, we review and configure:
- Multi-factor authentication for every user
- Blocking of legacy sign-in methods that bypass MFA
- Anti-phishing, anti-spam and malware filtering
- Email authentication records (SPF, DKIM and DMARC)
- Administrator account separation and least-privilege access
- Alerts for suspicious sign-ins and mail forwarding rules
- Sharing settings for OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams
- Backup of Microsoft 365 email and files
Why back up Microsoft 365? Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted or overwritten data is only recoverable for a limited time. A separate backup protects you from accidental deletion, departing employees and ransomware that syncs encrypted files to the cloud. We protect Microsoft 365 with SPC SaaS Protection, our cloud-to-cloud backup.
Microsoft 365 for healthcare practices
Microsoft 365 can be used by HIPAA-covered organizations when it's configured appropriately, and Microsoft offers a Business Associate Agreement for its covered cloud services. We help medical, dental and optometry practices set up encryption, access controls, retention and audit settings that support their HIPAA obligations. See our healthcare IT solutions.

Microsoft 365 FAQ
Will we lose email during the migration?
No. Mailboxes are copied before the cutover and a final sync captures anything that arrives during the switch. Most users simply open Outlook the next morning and keep working.
Can you take over a Microsoft 365 account someone else set up?
Yes. We'll review your existing tenant, correct security gaps and licensing issues, and document everything before taking over administration.
Do we still need a file server with Microsoft 365?
Many small businesses can move their shared files entirely to SharePoint and OneDrive. Some practice management or accounting applications still need a local server. We'll help you decide.
Is Microsoft 365 support included in your managed IT plans?
Yes. Microsoft 365 administration and user support are part of our managed IT services. Migrations are quoted as separate projects.
Ready to move to Microsoft 365, or fix your current setup?
We'll review your email, files and licensing, and recommend a plan that fits the way your team works.
