IT Consulting for Orange County Businesses
Technology decisions are business decisions. SimplifiedPC helps business owners and managers choose, plan and carry out IT projects with clear scopes, honest recommendations and options at different price points, so you don't overspend or end up with a project that drags on for months.
We start with your business, not the technology
Before recommending any product, we take time to understand how your business works: how your staff get their jobs done, which software you rely on, where things slow down, and what you're planning for the next few years. That shared understanding lets us bridge the gap between your business goals and the technology that supports them.
The result is advice you can act on. You'll get a clear explanation of the options, what each one costs, and what we recommend and why. We don't sell you equipment you don't need, and we'll tell you when the system you already have is good enough.
IT consulting services
IT assessments
A review of your computers, servers, network, backups, security and accounts, with a prioritized list of risks and recommended fixes.
Technology roadmaps and budgeting
A multi-year plan for replacing aging hardware, renewing software and improving security, so upgrades become planned expenses instead of emergencies.
Project scoping and planning
Clear, documented scope for every project: what's included, what isn't, who's responsible for what, and how long it will take. Good scoping is what keeps projects on budget.
Business process review
We look at how work moves through your office and find where technology can remove manual steps, from shared file storage to scanning and barcoding workflows.
Office moves and new locations
Planning for network cabling, internet service, Wi-Fi, phones and equipment setup when you open, expand or relocate an office.
Upgrades and cloud migrations
Server replacements, Windows upgrades and hardware refresh, and moves to Microsoft 365 or other cloud services, planned to minimize disruption.

Consulting on its own, or as part of managed IT
You can hire us for a single project, billed by the hour or as a fixed-scope quote. Clients on a monthly managed IT plan also get ongoing technology planning as part of the relationship, so recommendations come from a team that already knows your environment.
“Upon evaluating our system, SPC instantly made suggestions and charted a carefully laid out plan that greatly enhanced and simplified our whole network.”
“They are endowed with the ability to communicate technical jargon in a way that average laypeople can understand… we have found them to be trustworthy in their recommendations for upgrades and repairs.”
IT consulting FAQ
How does an IT consultation work?
We start with a conversation about your goals and current problems, then review your systems on site or remotely. You'll receive written recommendations with options and estimated costs.
Do we have to buy equipment through you?
No. We can source equipment for you, often at better prices than retail, but you're free to purchase elsewhere. Our recommendations stand either way.
Can you review another vendor's proposal?
Yes. We're happy to give a second opinion on a quote or project plan and point out anything that's missing or unnecessary.
How are consulting projects priced?
Smaller engagements are billed hourly. Larger projects receive a fixed-scope quote so you know the cost before work begins.
Planning a technology project?
Tell us what you're trying to accomplish. We'll help you scope it, compare options and plan it so it finishes on time and on budget.
