IT Services for Healthcare Practices
Healthcare practices run on technology: EMR systems, imaging equipment, scheduling, billing and patient communication. SimplifiedPC keeps it all working and protected, with an understanding of HIPAA and the software your practice depends on, so you can focus on patients.
Technology support that understands healthcare
A general IT company can fix a computer. A healthcare practice needs more: someone who understands how patient data must be protected, how EMR software and diagnostic equipment connect, and why downtime during clinic hours is so costly. We've supported medical, dental, optometry and home healthcare organizations across Orange County and Southern California for years.

The HIPAA Security Rule requires practices to protect electronic patient information with administrative, physical and technical safeguards. We implement and maintain the technical side, so your practice is protected and your compliance documentation reflects what's actually in place:
- Unique user accounts and access controls
- Encryption of patient data at rest and in transit
- Audit logging of access to systems holding ePHI
- Secure, HIPAA-compliant email with archiving
- Data backup, disaster recovery and emergency access plans
- Firewalls, endpoint protection and patching
- Automatic logoff and device security
- Secure disposal of old computers and drives
We work alongside your compliance officer or consultant; we're your technology partner, not a legal advisor.

Healthcare IT FAQ
Can you make our practice HIPAA compliant?
HIPAA compliance covers policies, training and administration as well as technology. We implement and document the technical safeguards, such as access controls, encryption, backups and audit logging, and work with whoever manages your overall compliance program.
Do you work with our EMR or practice management software?
We've worked alongside many EMR/EHR and practice management systems. Your software vendor remains the official support provider, but for managed clients, or on an hourly basis, we deal with the vendor for you, so your staff don't have to decode technical jargon. See examples on our optometry IT support page.
What happens if our systems go down during clinic hours?
Our 24/7 monitoring catches many problems before they affect patients. When something does fail, we connect remotely right away, and our backup and recovery planning keeps downtime short.
Can you set up IT for a new practice?
Yes. We plan and install networks, servers, workstations, EMR software, printers and equipment integration for new practices and relocations.
