Client Case Studies
Real problems, real businesses, in their own words. These stories show how we've helped offices and practices across Orange County and Southern California get technology they can rely on.
Replacing an unreliable IT provider for a multi-office property manager
The challenge
The company's previous IT provider was unreliable and slow to come out, and problems were never fully fixed. Some days, staff brought laptops from home just to keep working. With several offices, sharing files between locations was also a struggle.
What we did
We streamlined the business network and installed centralized network storage that securely shares data with the company's remote offices.
The result
Reliable systems and one shared set of files across every office. In the client's words, the business was running more efficiently than ever.
“This turned out to be one of the best business decisions we made this year.”
Setting up IT for a brand-new optometry practice
The challenge
A doctor opening a new practice in Westminster needed every computer networked, the practice database set up and patient information backed up, without becoming an IT expert.
What we did
We put a new server in place, networked all computers and printers, set up the database and backups, and streamlined everything to work efficiently.
The result
The practice opened with dependable technology, and the doctor handed IT management to us to focus on patients.
“Instead of fussing around with all the technical stuff, we are going to focus on our patients and let SimplifiedPC manage our IT business.”
Upgrading an optometry office, from computers to barcoding
The challenge
Mira Mesa Optometry needed its office computers upgraded and wanted a barcoding system that would work with its Officemate practice software.
What we did
We built a new computer, upgraded the office to the latest version of Windows, streamlined the network and installed a barcoding system compatible with Officemate.
The result
A faster, more efficient office, plus full documentation of the work, including new passwords and network details, handed over at the end.
“They did not speak in computer lingo all the time. They made it easy for us to understand what's going on.”
A physical and cyber security upgrade in one project
The challenge
An office needed better protection on two fronts: security cameras for the premises, and software to protect its workstations from threats like ransomware.
What we did
We helped the client choose the right options, installed anti-ransomware protection and cameras around the office, and ran all the cabling ourselves for a clean installation.
The result
A protected office and network, which we now help manage so the team can focus on their work.
“They now help us manage our network and security which lets us focus on our tasks.”
Supporting a growing home healthcare business
The challenge
A new home healthcare business needed dependable IT support from someone who understood the sensitive information healthcare organizations handle.
What we did
We became the business's one-stop IT resource, from laptop and equipment repair to more complex networking, with fast responses to calls and voicemails.
The result
IT that keeps up with a growing business, and a relationship the client describes as a partnership.
“We consider SPC not only our one stop-shop for any of our IT needs but also recognize them as a valued partner in the future success of our growing business!”
On-site event technology for UC Irvine
The challenge
A public event with UC Irvine Libraries needed multimedia laptop stations for attendees to stream audio and video, plus tech support for the presentation.
What we did
Our technician set up the stations and supported the presentation on site. When the venue's internet access failed, we connected the event using our own routers.
The result
Despite the internet outage, the program ran as planned.
“SimplifiedPC also provided tech support for the presentation we gave and everything ran very smoothly.”
