Encrypted Cloud Backup for Business

Your data is one of your most valuable business assets. SimplifiedPC's cloud backup keeps an encrypted copy of your servers, computers and Microsoft 365 data safely off-site, so a fire, theft, hardware failure or ransomware attack at your office never means losing it.

Off-site protection that's managed for you

Consumer backup apps and external drives leave the hard parts to you: checking that backups ran, rotating drives, keeping a copy away from the office, and knowing how to restore. With our managed cloud backup, we set everything up, watch every backup job, fix problems as they happen, and handle the restore when you need a file, a folder or an entire server back.

We build on proven backup platforms, including Datto, Veeam and Hornetsecurity VM Backup (formerly Altaro), and choose the right one for your systems and budget.

Security and features

AES-256 encryption

Data is encrypted before it leaves your office, with an encryption key you control, and sent over an encrypted connection.

Version history

Multiple versions of each file are kept, so you can go back to the copy from before a mistake or a ransomware attack.

Deletion protection

Retention options that prevent backups from being deleted early, supporting compliance and protecting against ransomware.

Efficient storage

Compression means you store and pay for less data, while still keeping the history you need.

Daily monitoring

We watch backup jobs and act on failures, so a silent backup problem doesn't go unnoticed for months.

Predictable pricing

A budget-friendly monthly cost based on the amount of data you protect, with no surprise fees for routine restores.

SPC SaaS Protection: cloud-to-cloud backup

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace keep their services running, but protecting and recovering your data is still your responsibility, and their built-in retention is limited. SPC SaaS Protection, part of SPC Security Essentials, backs up your cloud data to a separate, secure cloud so it survives deletion, ransomware and sync errors.

Full Microsoft 365 coverage

Exchange email, calendars and contacts, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, plus Google Workspace.

Automated backups

Scheduled, policy-based backups several times a day, with no action needed from your staff.

Point-in-time recovery

Restore a single email, file or full mailbox to a known-good point, often within minutes.

Encrypted & isolated

AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS in transit, and role-based access, stored separately from your Microsoft 365 or Google account.

Retention you control

Configurable retention policies that go beyond native cloud limits, supporting HIPAA and other retention requirements.

Audit-ready

Backup logs and reporting that help document your data protection for audits and insurers.

What we back up to the cloud

  • File servers and shared folders
  • Practice management and accounting databases
  • Workstations and laptops with important local files
  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, with SPC SaaS Protection
  • Synology NAS data and local backups
  • Virtual machines (see disaster recovery)

Getting started is simple

  1. Review

We identify what needs protecting, how much data you have, and how long you need to keep history.

  2. Set up

We install and configure the backup software, set your encryption key and schedule backups outside business hours.

  3. Initial seed

For large amounts of data, a technician can seed the first backup on site so it doesn't tie up your internet connection for weeks.

  4. Monitor & restore

We monitor every job and handle restores. For very large recoveries, data can be delivered on an external drive for faster turnaround.

Cloud backup FAQ

Who can see our data in the cloud?

Your data is encrypted before it leaves your office using a key you control. Without that key, the stored backup can't be read.

How long does it take to restore data?

Individual files and folders can usually be restored within minutes. Restoring a full server depends on the amount of data; for large restores we can deliver the data on a drive, and local backups allow much faster recovery for everyday incidents.

Is cloud backup HIPAA-friendly?

Encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and retained backup history all support the HIPAA backup and recovery requirements for healthcare practices.

Do we still need a local backup?

We recommend both. Local backups on a NAS give you fast everyday restores; cloud backup protects you if something happens to your office. Together they follow the 3-2-1 backup rule.
